Full Flooded Ammonia
At the core of the Model 80-O is Girton’s Hydrospray cleaning design. Unlike systems that rely solely on water pressure, the Hydrospray system uses positive oscillating spray headers driven by external power. This ensures complete spray coverage to the top, sides, bottom, and ends of the wash load.
According to the brochure diagrams, dual header supply hoses deliver increased water volume and higher spray pressure, while oscillation eliminates shadowing and missed surfaces. This design is particularly effective for complex rack geometries and densely loaded carts.
Full Flooded Ammonia ice builders are used by industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities to provide a source of 33-34°F chilled water to handle variable cooling loads to reduce energy costs, conserve water, improve reliability, and shift electrical demand away from peak daytime hours.
By freezing water into ice at night—when electricity rates are lower and ambient temperatures improve compressor efficiency—the system stores thermal energy that can be used during daytime operations without running compressors during peak demand periods. This load-shifting and load-leveling capability lowers demand charges, takes advantage of time-of-use rates, and can reduce annual energy consumption while increasing system resilience during power interruptions.
